Trusting people can be really hard. You never know if they’re going to be understanding or if they’re going to judge you for what you say.
Don’t attach yourself to anyone who shows you the least bit of attention because you’re lonely.
Loneliness is the human condition.
No one is ever going to fill that space.
The best you can do is know yourself & know what you want.
I pity the man who truly believes I need him. I am a whole person,
a complete individual on my own. I do not need a boy to “complete me”.
This does not mean I would not appreciate a nice guy.
It just means I am a human,
capable of functioning with or without a man by my side.
I don’t think you understand that you don’t have me wrapped around your finger.
You think that you can do whatever you want to me & get your way in the end,

I knew I was in love when all those stupid love songs started to make sense.

But the fact that it will get easier, does not mean it doesn’t hurt now. & when people try to minimize your own pain you’re doing yourself a disservice. Don’t do that. The truth is that it hurts because it’s real. It hurts because it matterd. & that’s an important thing to acknowledge to yourself. But that doesn’t mean that it wont end. That it wont get better, because it will.

Det var ikke noe 8. mars-tog der jeg var den dagen i år, så dette får bli min litt forsinkede kvinnedagsmarkering i stedet. Likestillingspolitikken i Høyre har dreid i en retning jeg som uttalt feminist ikke lenger kan stille meg bak. Jeg er så ufattelig skuffa over at partiet som jeg har vært med å heie frem over mange år velger å bruke stemmen min til å tale likestillingen midt i mot. Det var ikke dette jeg stemte på.
Jeg har venner både til høyre og til venstre i politikken. Men i likestillingsspørsmål, der har de stort sett ment det samme. Vi har irritert oss like mye over glasstak og “lille venn”-holdninger, og vært skjønt enige om at likestillingen langt fra er i mål enda. Nå er det merkelig stille fra mine feministvenner til høyre for streken.
